Hi,
We have a Mitsubishi PLC (FX3U-128M) installed at the client machine which is connected to a Mitsubishi ethernet card (FX3U-ENET) via a communication medium. For your reference, I have given below the necessary snaps of PLC installed in the plant.
However, I am trying to automate the Mitsubishi PLC-configured machine-to-data exchange with another machine configured with Siemens PLC by using Modbus TCP/IP.
In addition, we don't have any option for any direct Modbus TCP/IP interface settings in Mitsubishi PLC Software (GX Works2) for the PLC (FX3U-128M) or Ethernet Card (FX3U-ENET) hardware modules used on our client premises.
I am trying to configure Modbus TCP/IP communication protocol between two different PLCs as mentioned above. I could not find either simple PLC communication setting for the above-mentioned PLC in GX Works 2 or any alternate interface configuration with the ethernet card.
I want to know if there are any feasible possibilities for the above-mentioned hardware modules for Modbus TCP/IP communication or give any suggestion to replace the ethernet card option for the establishment of data exchange between 2 PLCs if the above ethernet hardware doesn't support the Modbus TCP/IP communication.
Can anyone help by sharing the reference PLC logic of Modbus TCP/IP interface with Mitsubishi PLC developed in GX Works 2 software? Please, check the below required Modbus communication architecture snapshot.
