eWON - Inverter connection

Article describes connecting the inverters via Ethernet with the eWON Cosy 131 router for remote access to monitoring and programming using the FR Configurator.

‎Connection architecture‎

‎The connection of the inverter to the eWON router is realized using an Ethernet interface. Depending on the configuration, the router connects to the Internet via WiFi or cable. A previously created account on the Talk2M platform has this router assigned to its configuration. Using the eCatcher program, we log in to the system and establish a connection with the desired router. Being connected to eWON, a virtual local network is created, thanks to which devices (in this case an inverter) connected locally to the router are also seen in the local network with a workstation (computer).‎

‎Connect to an eWON router‎

‎The description of the configuration of eWON itself is described in a separate document.‎
‎In order to establish a connection, we enter eCatcher software,‎‎ and then log in to the system by providing the account name and the username assigned to the account and password. These accounts must have been previously created and users must be assigned.‎

‎After log in, we have a list of routers assigned to a given account. ‎
‎Each eWON has the information about its availability. When eWON is Online, we can connect to it by clicking ‎‎Connect:‎

‎At the time of establishing the connection, a virtual network is created with the default name Talk2m – eCatcher Connection in the network connection settings: ‎

‎From this point on, you can ping the inverter as in the local network.‎
‎eWon must be configured in advance!‎

‎Connection to the inverter via FR Configurator2‎

‎Automatic detection of the inverter will not work! ‎

‎You need to manually set the configuration of the inverter or before connecting via eWon configure it locally when inverter is directly connected to the computer.‎
‎Under the project in the System setting tab, set the Ethernet connection and fill in the ‎‎Model setting‎‎ tables accordingly. ‎
‎In that case auto recognize does not work!‎

‎Afterwards, in the detailed setting we increase the response time from 1000ms, e.g. to 30,000ms‎
