Iconics Suite - Connecting KepServerEX (OPC UA Server) [Iconics Suite connection]
This article shows how to connect KepServerEX to Iconics Suite using KepServer with two possible ways:
- connecting as anynomous user
- connecting as authorized user
Please prepare your KepServer administrator credentials (created during KepServerEX installation)Connecting as anonymous user
Workbench configuration
- In project tree go to the Data Connectivity -> OPC UA -> OPC UA Network settings.
- Add new server item - name server and fill in Primary Endpoint URI (you can get it from KepServerEX OPC UA Configuration). Standard is : opc.tcp://127.0.0.1:49320
- Open advance connection settings pop up by clicking tools icon next to your server name
- As authentication mode choose: Anonymous
- Click icon to choose Override Thumbpirnt
- Select the latest FrameWorXServer certificate
- Click OK
-Click (Test Connection)
- Click OK
- Apply settings for server connection by clicking Apply button
KepServerEX configuration
In system tray open context menu on KepServerEX icon and choose OPC UA Configuration
- In Trusted Clients tab find the non trusted certificate of your client (FrameWorXServer)
- Select you server certificate and click Trust button on the bottom
- Your server certificate should change icon to trusted certificate
Confirm connection tags overview
- Go to any Iconics data browser - no matter in Workbench or GraphWorX64
- In Data Browser tree go to the Data Connectivity -> OPC UA -> NameOfYourKepServer
- Now you should be able to expand tree to see KepServerEX tags
Connecting as authorized user
Workbench configuration
- In project tree go to the Data Connectivity -> OPC UA -> OPC UA Network settings.
- Add new server item - name server and fill in Primary Endpoint URI (you can get it from KepServerEX OPC UA Configuration). Standard is : opc.tcp://127.0.0.1:49320

- Fill in administrator credentials
- Click (Test Connection) on the top of the pop up window
- Close pop up by clicking OK
- Apply OPC UA Network settings by clicking Apply button
